Bulgarian wine is yet to fully realise its true potential in the UK market despite producing and exporting a large quantity of wine (wine is within Bulgaria’s top 10 most exported products) globally. Both Bulgaria’s history and culture are steeped in the production and consumption of wine. From a time where the ancient Thracians wandered its plains and Bulgaria was yet to be formed as a country, to a more recent time where they were considered sole provider of wine to the Soviet Union – Bulgaria has always had huge potential. Many wine lovers have marvelled at the quality, and better yet the price, of Bulgarian wine in recent years.
With varying terrains, a diversity of indigenous varieties, and the means to sell great quality wines at very competitive prices, this project is sure to gain a lot of traction with UK buyers.
